Curated Sparks
Each spark is an invitation, not an announcement.
The salon posts one spark at a time. Members answer from wherever they stand — a surgeon, a set designer, a translator — and the thread becomes the artwork.

In a world where AI can give us almost any answer, are we still learning how to ask the right questions?
Original artwork created for the salon, October 2026
Machines can now hand us an answer in seconds — but an answer is not the same as understanding. The questions we ask shape what we find, what we notice and who we become. When answers are abundant, what becomes rare is a good question. Think beyond the machine: who decides which questions matter? How do we keep our curiosity alive when the answer arrives before the wondering? There is no single right answer. We invite you to look, question, and share your perspective — art opens the conversation, and your voice gives it meaning.

What if connection was a form of creativity?
This is the question the salon was built on. We usually treat connection as luck — chemistry, timing, circumstance. But maybe meeting another mind is something we can practise, compose, get better at, the way a painter learns colour. Answer it from where you stand: one sentence from a book, one image, one topic from your own work.

Can you be known by someone who never agrees with you?
We often mistake agreement for intimacy. Yet the people who understand us most precisely are frequently the ones who argue hardest. Where does recognition actually live?

Wander within
The farthest journeys happen without leaving your chair.
Choosing a spark can be a way of travelling — not outward, but inward, or deep into someone else's world. Wander into the world of an author and see how your own thoughts look from inside their house; sit with a question long enough and you meet a version of yourself you had not been introduced to. Some people cross the planet to find who they are. Here, a painting can be a port of call, a question a mountain pass, and the self you discover on the way home is the souvenir. Pick the spark that pulls at you the way an unfamiliar city name sometimes does — and let the reading be the travelling.
The shape of an answer
An experiment, and the sentiment it left behind.
A good response here is not an essay — it is a small report from an experiment. Name the city you were in when it happened: Istanbul, Lisbon, a train between two places. Then name what you actually did — the page you re-read, the painting you stood in front of, the question you carried into an ordinary afternoon. Then what it left in you — the sentiment, however unfinished: a restlessness, a softening, an argument you lost to a sentence. One honest paragraph in your own language is enough; the thread will do the rest. You do not need to reach a conclusion. Reaching us is the conclusion.
