What we keep, and why

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Who we are

Art & Beyond is a salon where art, philosophy and psychology meet, run by Belmin Dumlu Savaskan. This page explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.

For any privacy question or request, write to us at belmin@art-beyond.com.

Your account

If you create an account, we store your email address, a display name and your password. Your password is stored only in encrypted form — nobody, including us, can read it. You can sign out at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account whenever you like.

What you create

Sparks you write and responses you post are published in the salon under your display name — they are the public, shared substance of Art & Beyond.

Art you send through Art Therapy or Sustainable Art is shared only with the salon team, unless you later agree to have it shown. These submissions stay private between you and the salon.

Saved Sparks, followed threads and your personal reading lists are stored privately, visible only to you.

Supporter payments

If you choose to support the salon, the payment is processed by Stripe, our payment provider. Your card details never reach us — they go directly to Stripe. We receive only your name, email address and the amount, so we can thank you and, for Supporters, set up your chair in the salon.

Technical data

Like any website, our hosting keeps standard technical logs (for example, your browser type and the pages you visit) to keep the site working and secure. We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising trackers.

Third parties we rely on

We use a small number of providers to run the salon: Stripe for payments, and our hosting and email infrastructure for the site and its messages. Each processes data only as needed to provide its service.

Your choices

You may ask us at any time to send you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to belmin@art-beyond.com and we will take care of it. If you delete your account, your published Sparks may remain in the salon unless you ask us to remove them too.
